I have had a number of great adventures as part of my volunteer work at the Center for Birds of Prey. It is a great organization dedicated to rehabilitation of injured raptors and educating the public about raptors. If you are going to be in the Charleston, SC area, I recommend you a visit - they will be opening to the public in June 2008. If you live near Charleston, you can also become a volunteer!
I've collected some of my experiences below.
-
Red-tailed Hawks on Grace Church (March 2008 -- May 2008)
Great-horned owl chick (March 2008)
-
Great-horned owl (March-August 2007)
-
Red-shouldered hawk (June-July 2007)
- Mississippi Kite chick (June 2007)
